WHAT IS CONNECTED?

PROJECT AIMS

The project aims to develop a conceptual framework and tool that enables the inclusion of older adults, family caregivers and staff in developing and implementing innovations in the LTC sector within multiple socio-political and cultural contexts.

CONNECTED is an international, trans-Atlantic project aimed at facilitating the LTC sector renewal and resilience by advancing our capacity to reduce inequalities with innovations that reflect the needs and perspectives of older adults, family caregivers and staff.

The project is formed by an interdisciplinary team with researchers from four different countries (Brazil, Canada, Switzerland and United States), who are determined to contribute to a more inclusive LTC sector.

Project Phases

  • WORK PACKAGE 1

    *

    Situational Analysis that aims to understand the role of structural and contextual factors for inclusion in innovations in LTC through a scoping review and qualitative interveiws.

  • WORK PACKAGE 2

    *

    Development of a Conceptual Framework that enables the inclusion of LTC residents, staff and family caregivers in innovations, reducing inequities in different countries.

  • WORK PACKAGE 3

    *

    Creation and piloting of a tool with design and implementation strategies, and co-creation of country-specific vignettes to illustrate the application of the conceptual framework in LTCHs among the four countries.
